Celebrated Biker, Adventurer and Wellman’s Global Brand Ambassador Karolis Mieliauskas visits India to build awareness

 

 

 

Men in India spend little time within their social circles asking for advice on their health problems. There is a protective air around their health issues, and there is often procrastination when it comes to proactively take charge of their health and wellness. Karolis Mieliauskas, the famous explorer and the global brand ambassador for Wellman on his recent visit to India highlighted the changing lifestyles and the increasing incidence of several diseases such as diabetes, blood pressure, obesity and cardiovascular problems, among others.

Describing his journey and the need to be on wheels, Karolis explained the importance of a balanced diet and nutrition to compensate the unhealthy lifestyle. A recent study by the National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) showed 46 per cent of their sample size of healthy adults had vitamin B2 and B6 deficiencies. Additionally, another study conducted by P.G. Talwalkar, Diabetologist in association with Shushrusha Hospital in Mumbai stated that 70-90% of Indians are Vitamin D deficient. The alarming rate of these deficiencies highlights the critical need for spreading awareness on promoting preventive methods to address these. Karolis urged men in India to focus on their health and invest in advanced range of vitamin supplements, designed for the nutritional intake and lifestyle needs of men at every stage of life.
